Kansas Association of Gastroenterologists (KAGI) is a nonprofit group of Kansas-area gastroenterologists who have joined together as leaders and experts in colon cancer treatment and prevention. Their goal is to increase awareness statewide about the importance of colorectal cancer screening and prevent the disease in order to save lives.

KAGI hopes to position Kansas as the No. 1 state in the country for colon cancer screening by removing obstacles patients face in getting screened. According to Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System data, collected by the KDHE, Kansas currently ranks 20th in the country (BRFSS 2008).

Colon cancer affects 1,440 Kansas residents each year, but with regular screenings, the disease is preventable. Join KAGI’s cause to help us reach our goal and conquer colon cancer.
